Tane Cambridge currently cycling to Christchurch in 17th place, Tom Reynolds and Amber Morrison yet to emerge from the kayak leg but were 22nd and 6th going into it. Amber's had a fantastic first half of the day.

Tom off the water now in 26th. Will be cycling alone, but if he can reel in the 5 minute gap to the guy in front there's a few more places not much further ahead

Tane finished 21st, Tom 23rd, about 12.5 minutes apart. Amber off the water in 10th.

Yes watched live results with awe .. amazingly good results and the effort in each section is huge.. the support crews must be stuffed ! 5 years ago Don P finished too, now he thinks he can do it again!!

Well done Tom, Tane, Amber and Jenni Blyleven from PAPO (1st Classic Woman). Fantastic day. As a spectator on the boulders of the Mingha Valley, Tom and Tane looked much fresher than the other runners around them. The benefit of a lifetime running in terrain, perhaps.
