Tane Cambridge, Kate Morrison, Lara Prince and Lizzie Ingham. No qualifiers. One Australian got thru - Hanny Allston. Fancy website, slow internet. Only basic results available free. Lots of words about a paid service for tracking, TV, audio, but can't see where to sign up. Anyone?

Paid service was great and should be even better for the finals. It can be accessed here - http://sportsground.fi/ A bargin at 16 bucks for the week!

Another good link (and it would have saved me writing the above) is on the NZOF Facebook page where manager Malcolm Ingham is posting good daily summaries.

or for FBphobes it is displayed on www.nzorienteering.com

The WOC website has now listed that sportsground website address, for the paid coverage. But they haven't made it a LINK. Don't they think???
PS At least they replied to my email. I sent a couple to the JWOC enquiry address with no resposne.

The sportsground.fi website won't work on IE9, the links won't work. OK on 10 presumably, or Chrome. Your c/c needs to be "verified by Visa" an extra level of protection you can get from your bank (and presumably the Mastercard equivalent). So many hoops to jump through I'm targeting the next olympics.

Worth noting that the gps is available for free after the races have finished. http://www.tulospalvelu.fi/gps/
The uncrossable fences they criss-crossed over and over don't look like normal features of a holiday park!

Lizzie 14th. Watched the TV, the official results were hopeless. When it was all over they still only had one finisher.

Don't know what links you already know of, but a Finnish acquaintance has sent me this. A mens sprint is on at the moment, must be a replay I guess.
"If you want to watch WOC look at http://areena.yle.fi/tv/1932085 (in Finnish)."

Thanks Gavin, yes thats what I was watching, Magnus posted it on the FB chat. Can't yet see results on the official website! But worth mentioning www.worldofo.com which always has good pre-race and post-race comment. Lizzie lost 20sec getting into the stadium at the end, cost her 4 or 5 places ie a top 10. There's also discussion about around or over the hill towards the end - which turns out to be not so much the couple of contours but the running surface.

There's a report on the NZOF FB page, 2hrs ago. That makes it, tik tik tik, 2am! Thanks Malcolm!

Middle Qualifier today. Starts in NZ time:
First women 6:01pm, Lara 6:03, Kate 6:21, Lizzie 6:47
First men 7:15pm, Tim 7:21, Tane 7:49, Ross 8:17

Show Profile  Michael Posted: 11 July 2013, 2:13 PM
Not a great day at the office. Closest to qualifying were Ross and Kate, 1min away. Terrain looks difficult, the spread of results says that too.

Interesting thread on Attackpoint http://www.attackpoint.org/discussionthread.jsp/message_843842#message847606
IOF/Orienteering USA have tee'd up a deal for showing WOC coverage on a sports TV network. Though delayed and edited to a 2hr time slot, and few orienteers pay for that channel so they have to find a sports bar, those who have seen it are enthusiastic about the coverage.
