HB OY3: An early advantage

SteveO Posted: 30 June 2012, 4:12 AM   Hawkes Bay orienteers keen to gain every small advantage over their rivals at OY3 will no doubt be queueing up for an early start at Tikokino tomorrow. This is due to IERS scheduling a leap second to be added at 23:59:60 UTC which is, of course, 11am New Zealand time. Alternatively, knowing that fairness is an attribute much prized by the members of HBOC, perhaps all the early runners will agree to come to a complete halt for one second at 11am.
