Membership around Auckland

M Posted: 11 May 2011, 4:26 AM   Being a member of ANY NZ club gives you the discount at NZOF events. Anyone got a minute to clarify the pros and cons for an Auckland resident, of aligning to each the various Aucklandish clubs -given that the OY events are held by CM, AK and NW? Eg does being an AK member reduce your fees at some other AK events?   pete s Posted: 12 May 2011, 3:44 PM   In general the differences are around geography - Counties caters to Sth Akl down to Pukekohe, North West to the North and west Auckland areas, and Auckland club in between! That said there is overlap, and often it comes down to who you know etc. Once you are a member of one club you'll get the benefits from the other two, although there are training days etc which each club puts on for its members sometimes exclusively (although usually other club members are welcome). Certainly Auckland club would welcome you (whoever you are?!), so make yourself known at a club event sometime and we can talk to you about membership! Cheers Pete
