The NZOF website will be functional again one day, just not today (or tomorrow).
In the meantime, news from NZOF will be posted on the Facebook page started by Mick Finn last year. Search for "New Zealand Orienteering Federation" within Facebook.
2011 Development Squad has been selected and posted there.

For the one or two of you that are not on FB, no probs. You don't even have to be on FB to check it out. Just click the link and you can see all of the news and postings, you just can't officially 'comment' or 'like' anything.

Not sure why the existing NZOF website can't be kept up to date pending whatever brand new stuff is being thought of. To test this, I downloaded the news page, added a "news item", and put it back as http://www.mapsport.co.nz/nzoftestnewspage.html.

The club details have been out of date for yonks. I made a copy from the NZOF website and updated it from the last NZO magazine. Access it via...

And interestingly enough that information from your source is also out of date. I'm now Nelson's President and we currently have no Secretary. As of the end of this year our Treasurer wants to step down too with no obvious replacement. There is a lot of Strategic Planning to do over the next 6 months!!!

Well the good news is that the NZOF has signed off on Stage I of a new website the other day. We are expecting that this will take about 6-8 weeks before it is ready for us to test and update.
The new site will feature a content management system which will allow everyone access to submitting news and also people to be assigned 'admin' levels to be able to edit content themselves.
Exciting times ahead!

Just thought I'd check whether you can still update the old NZOF website (or a copy of it).

Yep, you still can.

NZOF has endorsed the MTBO Rules used for the Otago Carnival.
The rules may be found on the simple but functional MTBO website, and there's a link from my "shadow" NZOF website http://www.mapsport.co.nz/nzof/newspage.html
