Well according to his (Em's) blog he is rather slow compared to the Scandinavians. Sadly the picture is of George.

It looks like Orion decided to skip Bonus Checkpoint D while Nike got it. They are at about the same place on the course right now. Not sure if any of the other teams ahead of Nike have got all the controls. Lundhags looks to be going after everything at this stage too.

Ok, ok, it's George. Sorry. Another great skill that Chris has then, any weaknesses?

Orion is back in front of Nike on the course at the moment but one Bonus control behind. Does anyone know what the result of the protest by Nike and Lunhags was?

From what I gather it doesn't matter who is leading, its all about getting the most cp's, then bonus cp's are used to break ties. Sounds like a major load of crap and asking for a massive amount of protesting

Neil's team is leading out of all teams that chose to miss optional checkpoints, and is going superbly. Had a big fright though with the support crew forgetting their bike shoes before a big bike leg, but luckily someone turned up with them just in time. Nike and Orion are together, but Orion missed one optional checkpoint and Nike misses one for not getting the correct score in the prologue, unless that gets reversed. Aaron's team Lundhaags is 4th out of the teams that have been going for all or most checkpoints, but there is a lot of guesswork there.

That sounds pretty accurate to me Rob. The next Bonus control is nearing!

Show Profile  Andrew M Posted: 15 November 2009, 3:32 PM
how hard was that race to follow?

Show Profile  Neil K Posted: 23 November 2009, 2:26 AM
It was hard enough for most competitors to follow.

Thanks everyone (especially Bloomers) for the support. Chris, George, Aaron and the Orion bunch are awesome and did us Kiwi's proud.
