Show Profile  Tane Cambridge Posted: 23 August 2009, 6:14 PM
Yep 18 = Awesome!

Show Profile  mick finn Posted: 23 August 2009, 6:15 PM
nope, but the 19th looks gooood

Show Profile  mick finn Posted: 23 August 2009, 6:16 PM
don't they time to .1 of a second in the long?

Show Profile  Greig Posted: 23 August 2009, 6:16 PM
Can't complain with a top 20 finish. I wonder if Chris will be able to work out how to shave 10mins off for next time though???

Show Profile  Greig Posted: 23 August 2009, 6:18 PM
Looks like following does work too. The Italian appears to have followed Hubmann for most of the course and got himself a bronze medal.

Show Profile  mick finn Posted: 23 August 2009, 6:18 PM
did that show on the gps tracking?

Show Profile  mick finn Posted: 23 August 2009, 6:34 PM
Maybe they will post official results in the next few hours so we know whether 18th or 19th.

Or Chris might be able to post and confirm, and also drop a nice wee quote about his awesome efforts going one (two?) better than the sprint and his race??????

Awesome bloody effort and I bet he had great fun!

Actually 17th equal. Thanks to a good finish sprint.

Very fun race. No big mistakes and felt pretty good running thanks to some slightly cooler weather today, so pretty pleased.

Hi Chris, Wonderful run. We thought you'd like the cooler weather (and mud ?) A fantastic effort.

New Zealands best male WOC result ever. You are a legend bro. Look forward to seeing what you can do in Norway!!

Show Profile  Jenni Posted: 23 August 2009, 11:59 PM
Yay Chris! That's fantastic. 10 mins off should be no sweat once you start doing some training.

"The Italian" used to be Russian (married to an Italian living in Italy) and has always been close to the top so it's not that random to see him in 3rd. I would doubt that it was "following" and more of the normal mutual benefit effect of running with someone else for both of them.
