The Swede Martin Johansson's injury must have been fairly bad for the guys to give up their race, good on them.

and it is at this point, as much as I want see watch the women, I can't take this coverage for another couple of hours. Go the Ozzies...

Michael Smola, Theirry and Anders Nordberg just ran in together after the accident, Theirry says Martin asked for help, the stick was big, he didn't feel well and they didn't know what to do, just get some help, they couldn't find a helicopter like last year but someone got on a bicycle. Theirry had no shirt, presumably used as a tourniquay (excuse spelling?!)

It would be a great night for me to take a sickie from work, but I won't at least it will save you people from my ramblings, that is if anyone is actually out there.
The forest looks sweet but the courses will be horendous, Hopefully the coverage is better than the relays, it should be, as at least they can put up live tracking much earlier, the 5 euros should be well worth it for any dudes lucky enough to watch tonight.
Hopefully Chris will love it, there will be a lot of kiwis and ozzies cheering him on.

Seems like no one else is watching. Chris looks to have had a pretty good run. Lost a couple of min between 1st and 2nd radio control but I think there might be a new best result for a NZ male here.

"Chris Forne NZL into new 3rd best 6.15 down on Mats Haldin."

Yep, I think you might be right. Lots and lots of speedy people still to come through.

I'm watching. Think Chris will finish around 20, maybe better, which will be outstanding

Fantastic effort from Chris - it's been a long week - and a long night tonight but we're glued to the results!

Show Profile  Tane Cambridge Posted: 23 August 2009, 5:04 PM
