Cant believe it! Nicola Peat at 50% strength would be good enough. What a shame for the NZSS Senior girls team....hope we dont lose this great little orienteer to one of the other sports she is so good at? Good luck for your Hockey Tournament in two weeks Nic.

I agree - very hard to understand especially when she was available. We really needed all our fire power taking on Queensland at home.

Yeah, not sure about that one. Haven't seen the team yet. But we know Nic has a little injury which she knew wasn't going to be right for nationals, so she's been nursing/managing it so it would be okay for October. Selectors were told this, maybe something changed. Maybe winning North Islands and being in the NZSS team since 2005, coming 2nd last year, making last years JWOC, and having the advice on injury from parents who are both doctors, counts for nothing. Must be a good reason behind the decision.

Well said Clem and Val, can't add anything more to that!
Isn't injury the reason there's the possibility to add fitness criteria? The Aus Schools champs also allows teams to have travelling reserves who compete on the same courses. many of the state teams do it.
