Yep, our team has arrived in Olomouc Czech Republic and have done their first couple of trainings and they are hopefully now getting an idea of how mapping and reality coresponds and how to make the right decisions when it is all going on.
First disciplin is the Sprint with Qualification and Final on Sunday.
Our team is:
Thomas Reynolds - Sprint only
Michael Adams - Long Distance and maybe Relay
Neil Kerrison - Middle and Long Distance - maybe Reley
Chris Forne - Sprint and Middle Distance - maybe Relay
Ross Morrison - Everything
Jim Russell (Bendigo, Australia) is the coach with Emily Wall and Maja Bramming helping out.

Just stole this weather forecast from the aussies blog training thing on attackpoint.com - seems like it is going to be almost human weather conditions for the week ...
Just had a look at how things are shaping up for next week - after Sunday it looks like it won't get above 25 again until the following weekend (if at all). Also looks like a fair chance of rain in the first half of the week. (posted by Blair Trewin on attackpoint.com)
Otherwise it seems like the NZ team is doing some good analysing of mapping and terrain together with Coach Jim. But hopefully the mapping at the real competitions will be better than the ones for training. One would assume that mapping should be the same throughout a map and dependent on proximity to vegetation - some comments say rock details on maps only in proximity of vegetation details and more mysterious rules along those lines....
Yep, bring the game on!

I'm figuring its the same 10 hour time diff as Sweden (so the 930 starts = 730pm starts etc). Anyone able to confirm or correct that?

Never thought I'd say this, but I think the standard live results set up works for me better than this one... If anyone finds a voice commentary by the time the guys start can they post a link!

All 3 Aussie girls make the final though Jasmine only just. All 3 Chinese too!!! plus Yoko Bamba to complete the non-european contingent. Not such a good start for the yanks, with only one finisher, had hoped the lovely Louise from Canada would make another final, but not to be.
Liis the best of the Estonians, qualifying low-midfield, only Eesti to make it - Piret should have been running, eh? And I feel sorry for Annabel Fernandez Valledor, who was very consistently 16th in every qual race in Japan - she's done it again...
