The future of the WOA OY Series

Show Profile  Michael Posted: 22 January 2009, 8:56 AM
I was wrong (in Nov) and the WOA OY series will ride again at Waitangi Weekend.

Former BOF secretary Don Locke has kicked WOA into life and it has made some decisions. The key ones are that the green light has been given to including middles and sprints (tho no sprints have actually been proposed); and competition will be by course and gender.

Can I predict that for 2019 we'll see age groups as the way to inject new life into the series, heh heh. But we're not the only ones to see change as as a saviour. Remember separating the roading funding agency from road construction? Joined back together now. Splitting power generation into competing companies would bring efficiencies, haha.
